The fashion show was a success :) I actually opened the show, so that was a little nerve-racking but regardless we all had an amazing time. Me and my friend Marisa were models for Abby because she was graduating. We had a "circus" theme initially, but it almost turned into a dark
rag doll kind of look. Being at school for over 12 hours though took a lot out of me. We also had to be back at school 12 hours after the show ended... yuck.
Yesterday after school, I met my friends Ben & Steven at a pool party to test out a new beer. There friends from Colorado (small world) want to eventually start their own brewery, but for now are making recipes for us to rate. I am definitely one who likes to try more unique types of beers instead of just a Bud Light. In college we would go to a local bar and try their best beers... and they were never from
Anheuser Busch. The beer was actually pretty good, but quite strong (I think 10% roughly). Although last night was my roommate, Christine's, birthday party... I only made it through about 30 minutes of it due to my over consumption of beer earlier :)

We rocked the Karaoke scene tonight... absolutely rocked it.
It is Christine's birthday, and since there should never be a reason NOT to celebrate such a day, we partied. Dinner along with beer/shots and singing. Although we were the ONLY people in Hero's for a while, I started us off with a little "Ironic" by
Alanis and the party began. I think if I could enjoy any job, it would be to sing karaoke professionally probably. I love how I feel with a mic in my hand and just swaying to the beat of another person's story. Even Christine had her first karaoke song, and ROCKED it. I love what great friends my roommate's have become to me. I have slightly the best luck with roommates since I was in college, not a bad one yet.
Tomorrow is a fashion show I am modeling in for one of our graduation's after school. It's circus themed and even just with practicing make-up and hair, I am very excited for the photo's that come out from it. Since my speciality is "
big" hair, I will be helping out with the process of teasing/ratting/back-combing our hair. I love what opportunities come from just being a student at school.
For my other life, a week is going to be a long time without conversation my friend... a long time.

This past week was so crazy busy. The fashion show came and went fast, but it was absolutely amazing. We had almost like a
porcelain goth look and I think I was the only model that had all of my clothes on. Me and a few of the girls from my school who were also in the show, stayed after and had a blast! I think it was a pretty successful night minus the fact that I lost a pair of my favorite ballet flats :(
I went to visit Kayla again and I will say nothing more of how we aren't "bad influences" on each other. We're so lucky Todd came and picked us up, because I vaguely remember starting a tab because the bartender looked like Justin
Timberlake. Who wouldn't in their right mind spend tons of money to bring "Sexy Back"? And when beer pong changes to vodka pong at 4am, I can only imagine why we woke up and reeked of a hangover. Sunday we went night swimming after another regular visit to a Mexican Restaurant. I rarely go to eat anywhere other than Mexican Restaurants, regardless if the best Mexican food can be found at my humble abode. Nathan and I purposely try to go to every place we can find, I'll bring updates on the best places in central California.
Monday should have been a day of rest or possibly to look for another job, but it was spent right by the beach in Carlsbad to visit my other grandparents on their timeshare. I can never pass up an opportunity at the beach, plus I went sailing for the first time and actually got to "drive" the boat. I'm no expert but I could wear polo's and
nautical stripes if I wanted.

Secrest stylist in LA Wednesday. I feel like how the hell am I getting modelling opportunities while I'm in beauty school trying to be a stylist? But the perks are awesome, including being on TV. I'm sure many more opportunities will be coming my way just over the next year, i cant even imagine!
Off to school and then to watch the US Open for the first time :) I'm not necessarily a surfer girl, but
I'll watch hot surfers do their thing any day of the week!

I have found out how bad my sense of direction really is. It has made a normal 1 hour trip to San
Bernardino into between 1 1/2 to 2 hours, possibly more. Especially on my way home this morning... I ended up on a dirt road in a small town going towards San Diego (don't ask me how). Luckily my new phone has Google Maps on it, so it somehow brought be back to the
OC.
This weekend I went and visited my friend Nathan, which was totally bomb. We went to one of his friends, I met in Vegas, house for a BBQ and to watch
UFC. Now I am not a fan of
UFC, not really even a little, but I do know that I can deal with it in order to hang with the guys. It was actually cool because we were betting on matches, and I happen to be quite lucky when it comes to gambling, so all of my guys won :) I gave myself a whole new cool level to the guys (2 points for me!) After we just crashed at his house because being completely drunk for 2 hours and then sobering up for 4 really takes a lot out of you.
We went
off roading in the Jeep Sunday afternoon in hopes to go shoot my first real hand gun, but no firearms during fire season :( I don't know if I can handle all of that power of having a gun, but I'm definitely considering it when I move into my own place. Next time I'm there, we'll find a way around "fire season" or just go to an indoor shooting range. But it was awesome just being outside and holding on for dear life around the sharp corners over the cliffs, plus we found an awesome place to camp for one of the next times I'm around there.
This week I'm getting ready for the hair show, we did the run through and fitting today. My dress is pretty cool, its white strapless dress made of sparkly tool fabric. Kind of like a princess dress but hits like right above my calves (can't wait to get pictures after the show). Anyways it's totally cool and I've never been a model in a show before. I get my hair colored tomorrow and then the shows on Thursday. Since I wont be wearing heels (Thank God!) I wont have any problem with falling, wish me luck otherwise though!
