I have gone in to my first sickness of 2010. It may have to do with Karma (I promise I wont kiss him again... ok maybe no promises!) but I could only imagine that I'd be sick after this crazy weather. We've had basically Hurricane Katrina and Monsoon City all around Orange County. It is crazy, and normally I'd be all excited for rain, one of my FAVORITE things ever. Right about now, I'm biting my tongue. The past two day's have been so hard to get to school. Today I took the day off of school and work, and I am stuck in my bed eating Fruity Pebbles and overloading on Dayquil, Super B-Complex, Multivitamins, and H2O. I stopped by the store today to pick up all of those because Jesse told me it would probably make me feel better, plus stop me from getting sick again and keep my immune system healthy. He's all about the "vitamins".

Yesterday I went with Kendra to visit her parents condo. We had ribs and mashed potatoes and played Scategories. I also got a text from Jesse asking if I was home... little did I know, he was bring me chicken noodle soup in a bread bowl and vitamins to make me feel better. SERIOUSLY? How did I get so lucky. Once I was home and had my soup and watched a little tv, Jesse came by just to see how I was feeling and watched "Knocked Up" with me. Super awesome guy, I hope I feel better by the time we go hiking tomorrow.

Tonight I will be taking it easy, even though it is a Friday. I'm sure Kendra will want to go out, and I'd LOVE to, but my body will hate me tomorrow if I do. Movies & hot coco for me tonight might be my remedy!

The past weekend? "slightly-but not really-an amazing-but crazy-and totally worth it" weekend. It maybe didn't necessarily go as planned, but nothing really does, or should. I was AMAZING at golf. I just think that is probably the most important thing that came out of this time! haha. I am someone that actually prides myself and being decent at a lot of things. That is usually because I'm not extremely good at anything.. so being decent is good enough for me. I whooped some ass, and had some amazing shots. The boys were even impressed a little. I'll take that as a victory. Another victory would be the amazing "behind the back" throw in beer pong on Friday. If it is not obvious, I suck at beer pong...except for that very night. No one would be my partner in college (not even my boyfriends at the time) because they didn't want to lose. And I have no words for Friday other than "champion" so everyone can suck it. I also would like to assume that I gave a good impression to his dad, even though I don't know for sure. It usually takes a few times for people to warm up to me, or more so me to them, but it seemed "peachy" just chatting about a lot of things and nothing in particular.

There were CLEARLY some not so amazing things including:
(1) Kendra's iPhone breaking on Friday night
(2) Buying Kendra a new screen ($$$ ahh!)
(3) Being overly drunk and things
(4) Work :(
(5) Bud being sick... for the whole trip
(6) Me starting to get sick
(7) Tripping out
(8) Muscle spasms
(9) Monday morning... aka having to go home

It was worth it nonetheless. This week has been a crazy mess after he left. My blow dryer got stolen on Tuesday at school. I hate people that steal for the fun of it, and I know this because we ALL have the same "tools" at school. So the question is, WHY WOULD SOMEONE STEAL SOMETHING THEY ALREADY HAVE?? Answer: for the fun of it. I use to have friends in college that did that, but at stores in the mall, etc. Such a stupid excuse for a human-being. (On a side note: I went to the police station today and filled out a police report... I have a detective on the case, and finally get to check out the security tapes). Since then, I've become the epitome of a "resistor". In school they talk about how everyone should try to be a "visionary" and keep a positive attitude. I am pretty good at that, and even when I'm having a not as good day, I some how find myself trying to make other people's days better. Even on the bad day, I'm only a "fence sitter"... but this week.. full fledged RESISTOR. I didn't pay attention in class, I didn't want to take clients, I talked back to teachers. It's ridiculous that I allowed some petty thieve to change the way I live my day-to-day life. Luckily after my personal motivational speaker got to me, I've changed my bad behavior.

This weekend will be filled with extremely busy things.. aka work. and I am/am not looking forward to it. I can't decide yet, but I'm off to bed because the "New Moon" tickets were all sold out... I'll have to enjoy a theatre full of teeny boppers at another time.

So, two buck chuck. Have you ever found such a great wine for $26 a case? Especially after going to work out and starting my 5-day a week program, we figured going to Trader Joe's would be the best decision. I think it only added to the greatness of the evening, which includes an abundance of candy from Rite Aid, Thrifty's ice cream(Chocolate Malted Ball Crunch) and Step Brother's. I can't remember how many times I have seen this amazing movie. Or how many times I have laughed so far! Kendra, Kylie and I all know EVERY word from the movie. amazing...

Extended version, way better.

I had another "big girl" adventure today after school. On to buy my first car (since my previous vehicle.. may it rest in peace... was a present on my 17th birthday) and I am not really into this bargaining thing. I don't even know how to play the "car game" with car salesmen, so I had my cousin David do the big business. This is the time i wish my dad was in CA with me. He's all about getting the best dealio. Tomorrow David is going to call and swap numbers with the guy and hopefully I will be picking up my car tomorrow! Although the accident isn't a good reason to be excited about a new car, I can't help it :)

I had such great plans for the evening, possibly watching Finding Nemo on the beach (jealous?) or bowling with my roommates and a few new friends... all of these wonderful things fell through. I might just be enjoying Talladega Nights via my computer due to my broken DVD player for just a few laughs. I think I caught myself quoting that movie at least 3 times today.

It has been just over a week after the accident, and things are starting to get back to normal. I actually feel fine getting in a car now and in the process of looking at a new car. It's weird because I was in a total funk until Friday Night. I couldn't even get up to go to school for 3 days. I actually barely left the house/my room for those few days. SO WEIRD what things can do to you. My back and neck were messed up but I was just exhausted and was sick as well. I think my immune system just decided to breakdown? But my mom bought me a massage and I got over it.

Thursday was a promo party for my roommate's best friends PR group. It was burlesque themed and if there is any excuse to go out and dress up, I make sure I attend. It was great because we were able to sit in VIP whenever we wanted. The perks of knowing the right people I assume :) It was such a great time for me and my roommates, we danced and drank all night, and definitely paid for it in the morning! And the absurd amount of pictures I take on my phone when I'm drinking... I am no longer just a drunk texter, I have now become a drunk picture taker. I think I had over 100 photos from that night, and 80% of them were deleted.

Friday my aunt Lisa came to visit my house. Now that she's a single lady, we'll be able to go out and have fun more often :) I can't wait to take her out in HB. We went and had dinner & I had my first experience with Pinkberry. (for those unaware, Pinkberry is a frozen yogurt place only in CA) I am Ms. Frozen Yogurt of California, and possibly the world, so I'd probably give it a 8/10. We also went and saw Time Traveler's Wife and G.I. Joe. Let's just say TTW was awesome and I didn't even cry like I thought I would (which is a plus), and G.I. Joe was retardedly corny and not my favorite. No matter how hot Channing Tatum is, he should never open his mouth to act, ever.

I had another wonderful weekend at Sarah & David's including frying myself in the sun, american idol karaoke, myspace karaoke (don't ask), impossibly late telephone "calls" (I had a CRAZY dream after that), and butt breaking bike rides... Does anyone notice that bike seats are ultra uncomfortable, and since I rarely ride bikes, I may have caused permanent damage! joking. They are moving soon so we have to make the most out of our last few weeks at their place! And Sarah & I were ultra impressed with out drinking skills Saturday, including a whole bottle of Smirnoff and an 18-pk of Bud Light Lime. Champs...

6.16.2009

Today was another day at school... less exciting than normal because we had to learn theory of color. It's cool to find out things about color and mixing but sitting for hours upon hours taking notes off a whiteboard! And we write with markers because supposedly we learn 20% more than if you just write notes in pen. I already feel smarter than I did in college, and definitely know I made a better decision going to beauty school. It's a good fit. Also, I'm pretty sure during this week I will have my first experiments with color, and since I won a facial (woo hoo) for our skin academy, I will definitely be using that as well.

Tomorrow, instead of going to school, we are having a scavenger hunt and going to take pictures of all the things we have to find. We get hours for hanging out and probably going to happy hour after it's all said and done! I'm sure it will be fun, and I've already met some really cool people so it will be nice to hangout outside of school.

My schedule for work is all screwed up this week, so I'm pretty sure that I'll be working 1 night at least. I was hoping to help replenish my bank account this week, but no such luck yet. Now time for movies into the wee hours of the night (or True Blood, I can't decide!) even though I'll be getting ready for school at 6:40am.

P.S. Laker's are the CHAMPIONS! Has a nice "RING" to it :)

2 quite annoying things occurred to me: the Laker's have decided to give Houston the first game (Idiots) & I am no where close to finding my dream place (let alone ANY place). There is nothing I can do about the Laker's, so its a lost cause if they throw it all away. But I think I've been ultra stressed out recently about moving because everything isn't as perfect as I expected. My mom & I try to make it more fun by going to Ikea, which is my absolute favorite place... well tied with Costco. I can imagine me having a place eventually, but I honestly will not believe it until it happens.

I've been just trying to keep myself busy, so me and my brother, Eric, went to see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D. It was super funny, Seth Rogan for sure made the movie. I needed something to make me laugh so hard, and Eric & I did. We thought we were the only people in the theatre, but after a few "shushes" we realized we were not alone. I never realized how expensive 3D movies are though. It was $12.25 for each ticket with the 3D glasses, so we definitely stole the glasses. We had to get our money's worth! Now we're gonna rock them constantly.

I've also made myself go on a semi-strict diet for the next 15 days before I move. I figure I have to be in "pretend shape" before I get there, or at least trick my mind into thinking a salad is as good as a Double Cheeseburger for Mcy D's (yummmm). I've downloaded a large amount of fast paced music to make me keep working out, which sounds like blah right now. Since I don't have any CD's in the house, I went through our 90's cd collection.. found an amazing MTV's Party Funk 1, or something of that nature, and realized how much I loved that CD. I will carry this CD with me on my move to Cali, and when I'm working out I'll be jammin' to "Come & Ride the Train" and "I love you, always forever, near or far, closer together" techno mix. Too much... absolutely too much.
